Women who drink wine every day are often healthier than women who only a few times a week to take a drink. Research has shown that a few glasses of wine a day in middle age makes women healthier old.
According to scientists, the ingestion of moderate amounts of wine lead to 'successful aging', and reduce the risk of stroke. The possible adverse risks of drinking were also exaggerated. The idea that moderate wine consumption contributes to a healthy heart, especially among men, has been around longer. Two U.S. investigations have now the effects of alcohol intake in women studied.
A study by Harvard University found that women who live around their eight fiftieths a year or two drinks per day were 28 percent more likely to be elderly healthy than their peers who drank no alcohol.
Women who drank alcohol almost every day, were generally healthier than women with only one or two times a week, drank alcohol. The last group was in fact likely to make very large amounts at one time to consume.
Another study showed that the intake of alcohol, to any extent, linked with a reduced risk of stroke. Experts do not yet know exactly how alcohol can affect health. Some theories are that alcohol helps the body to glucose metabolism, and that it can reduce risk of blood clots.
